Edited by Ilia Delio, thirteen scholars fulfill Teilhard de Chardin's hope that a future generation apply his learnings to the needs of their age.

Each chapter sheds new insight on God and humankind's role in co-creation, and the wisdom we need to forge the future.  Most of all, these visionaries inspire us to do our share to advance a spiritual universe.  The contributors include: John F. Haught - Edward Vacek, S.J. - Patrick H. Byrne - Francois Euve, S.J. - Ilia Delio - Denis Edwards - Kathleen Duffy, S.S.J. - Ursula King - John C. Haughey, S.J.

A landmark effort in the work of evolutionary theology, From Teilhard to Omega will be of interest to scholars, students, and seekers alike.

"Ilia Delio has challenged a team of Teilhard experts by asking them, in their fields, to envision how unfinished humanity's convergent journey toward Omega has progressed in complexity and consciousness since Teilhard's day.  It's a hope-filled book, exploring Teilhard's realm of the 'not yet,' spilling over with fascinating and prophetic thoughts and images on things to come." --Louis Savary, Ph.D., S.T.D., author, The New Spiritual Exercises

"A useful and much overdue contribution!  These wonderfully diverse and helpful essays will open up many new access routes to a Christian mystic whose time has definitely arrived." --The Rev. Cynthia Bourgeault, Ph.D., author, The Wisdom Jesus and The Holdy Trinity and the Law of Three

Ilia Delio, OSF, a Franciscan Sister of Washington, DC, holds the Josephine C. Connelly Endowed Chair in Theology at Villanova University.  A native of Newark, NJ, she earned doctorates in pharmacology from the New Jersey Medical School/School of Biomedical Sciences and in historical theology from Fordham University, NY, and is the recipient of a notable Templeton Course in Science and Religion award. Delio is the author of seventeen books including The Unbearable Wholeness of Being and Making All Things New and she lectures internationally on topics including evolution, artificial intelligence, consciousness, and religion.  See more online at www.omegacenter.info.

A wonderful tribute to an outstanding person who totally immersed himself in the science of evolution and yet remained deeply committed to Christ, which indeed must be read.

I personally found this volume very stimulating. The authors do not ignore the points of difficulties in Teilhard's thought, but engage them in a critical manner.

The editor is also to be congratulated for the pedagogical approach, adding points to ponder and questions for discussion at the end of each chapter.

Because of the urgency and gravity of the questions dealt here, this book will surely find a broad audience.

...for religion and science readers alike...a rich, complex Christian analysis highly recommended.
