John Dear is a priest, activist, lecturer, and author of thirty books including Thomas Merton Peacemaker; You Will Be My Witnesses (with art by William Hart McNichols), Mohandas Gandhi: Essential WritingsDaniel Berrigan: Essential Writings and an autobiography, A Persistent Peace (Doubleday/Image) and was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Archbishop Desmond Tutu. He lives in New Mexico.

William Hart McNichols is a priest and iconographer who has been described by Time magazine as "among the most famous creators of Christian iconic images in the world." His work is also featured in Christ All Merciful (with text by Megan McKenna) and Mother of God, Similar to Fire (with text by Mirabai Starr). He lives in Taos, New Mexico.
