Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church

The Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church Series responds to the need for an international exchange of ideas among Catholic theological ethicists since theological ethics is so diffuse today, since many Catholic theological ethicists are caught up in their own specific cultures, and since their interlocutors tend to be in other disciplines.
Catholic theological ethicists recognize the need: to appreciate the challenge of pluralism; to dialogue from and beyond local culture; and to interconnect within a world church not dominated solely by a northern paradigm. Therefore, Catholic theological ethicists will pursue in this series a way of proceeding that reflects their local cultures and engages in cross-cultural conversations motivated by mercy and care. We hope that our engagement with one another will also serve those with similar interests in the questions we raise and the realistic visions of hope that we share.

Forthcoming volumes will be on feminist Catholic theological ethics, just sustainability, the local church and the role of the Catholic ethicist, the migrations of peoples, Catholic theological ethics, and the Bible.

James F. Keenan is the Series Editor.
